Gensler in Los Angeles seeks a Project Architect to blend creativity with technical oversight, guiding clients and project teams from concept through documentation. You will lead design coordination, manage consultants, mentor junior staff, and represent the team during bidding, with a strong emphasis on building code compliance, sustainability, and client collaboration.

The role requires a professional architecture degree, CA license, 10+ years of hospitality experience, and Revit proficiency.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in architecture with a strong portfolio.
• Licensed Architect in California.
• 10+ years in hospitality architecture with varied building typologies.
• LEED accreditation preferred, Revit proficiency required.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and structures.
• Public-speaking and leadership of large consultant teams.
• Ability to foster collaborative relationships across the firm and with clients.

Responsabilités

• Lead technical design from programming to construction documentation.
• Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to secure approvals and lead consultant coordination.
• Manage client, team and project coordination with engineers and consultants.
• Support communication among project team, clients, vendors and authorities.
• Develop workplans for SD, DD and CD issuances and oversee documentation.
• Collaborate with external consultants, product reps, and vendors; facilitate permits.
• Lead construction contract administration, RFIs, site visits and punch lists.
• Represent the team during bidding, respond to RFIs and evaluate proposals.
• Mentor junior staff and develop the studio's technical capabilities.
