Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Project Accountant to oversee and report on project cost accounting, working remotely with preference for the West Region (California/Nevada). You will act as a liaison between operations and accounting, manage invoicing, and support the annual audit process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent relevant experience.
• Seven or more years of corporate accounting experience preferred.
• Prior project accounting experience within architecture, engineering, and/or construction preferred.
• Experience with Prevailing Wage.
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP.
• Must have AP full cycle exposure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and report on project cost accounting in adherence to company policies.
• Act as liaison between operations and accounting functions including AP and payroll.
• Review and analyze key performance metrics to support operations management.
• Identify, research, and resolve project issues.
• Reconcile and analyze project cost reports for timely reporting.
• Assist Regional Controller with account reports and collections.
• Coordinate with project billers and managers to ensure accurate project setups.
• Maintain budgets, change orders, and pricing information.
• Prepare management reporting schedules for collections and AR.
