Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Project Accountant to oversee and report on project cost accounting. This role can be remote, with a preference for candidates in the West Region (California/Nevada).

You will act as a liaison between operations and corporate accounting functions and review performance metrics to drive improvements. Qualifications include a Bachelor's in accounting or related experience, CMA/CPA preferred, and 7+ years in corporate/project accounting, with Deltek Vantagepoint and ERP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent relevant experience required.
• Relevant certification (e.g., CMA or CPA) preferred but not required.
• Seven or more (7+) years of corporate accounting experience preferred.
• Prior project accounting experience within the architecture, engineering, and/or construction industry preferred.
• Experience with Prevailing Wage.
• Thorough knowledge of GAAP.
• Knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint preferred, experience with an ERP system required.
• Must have AP full cycle exposure.
• Previous experience with mergers and acquisitions a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and report on project cost accounting.
• Act as a liaison between operations and corporate accounting functions.
• Review and analyze key performance metrics to support operations management.
• Manage monthly invoicing process for projects.
• Review vendor and subcontractor invoices process.
• Aid in collections up to 90 days after invoice date.
• Prepare management reporting schedules as it relates to collections and accounts receivable.
