Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Project Accountant to oversee and report on project cost accounting remotely, preferably in the West Region. The role requires strong GAAP knowledge and extensive AP full cycle experience within professional services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent relevant experience required.
• CMA or CPA certification preferred but not required.
• Seven or more years of corporate accounting experience preferred.
• Prior project accounting experience in architecture, engineering, and/or construction preferred.
• Knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint and ERP systems required.
• Must have AP full cycle exposure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and report on project cost accounting in adherence to company policies.
• Act as liaison between operations and accounting functions (A/P, payroll, etc.).
• Review performance metrics to support operations and identify improvements.
• Identify, research, and resolve project issues.
• Reconcile and analyze project cost reports for timely reporting.
• Assist Regional Controller with reports, collections, and project billings.
• Manage monthly invoicing and vendor/subcontractor invoices processes.
• Maintain client budgets, consultants' budgets, scope, pricing, and change orders.
