Job summary

The City of Coon Rapids seeks a Recreation Coordinator for Senior Programs to plan and administer 55+ activities, events, classes, and outreach. You will manage registrations, coordinate transportation, and oversee staff and volunteers to deliver engaging, meaningful experiences for seniors.

Under the Recreation Supervisor, you will work on budgeting, marketing, and reporting while ensuring excellent service to the community and collaboration with other city divisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Parks and Recreation, Gerontology, Social Services or related field.
• Three years of work experience in recreation programming.
• Ability to learn recreation registration software.
• Customer Service experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate programs for Seniors including special events, classes, outreach, and transportation.
• Recommend and administer pricing and policies for Senior programs and services.
• Coordinate registrations of participants using ActiveNet recreation software.
• Schedule rooms for programs in partnership with Facility Coordinator.
• Recruit, train and supervise senior volunteers for programs.
