City of Coon Rapids is seeking a Recreation Coordinator of Senior Programs to plan, coordinate, and administer activities for the 55+ community—turning ideas into meaningful, engaging experiences.

Under the general direction of the Recreation Supervisor, you will manage program development, registrations (ActiveNet), room scheduling, transportation, and volunteer supervision, collaborating with finance and communications teams to deliver high‑quality senior services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Parks and Recreation, Gerontology, Social Services or related field.
• Three years of work experience in field of recreation programming.
• Ability to learn recreation registration software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate all programs, events, and transportation for the Seniors.
• Recommends and administers pricing and policies for Senior programs and services.
• Coordinates registrations for participants using ActiveNet.
• Schedules rooms for programs in partnership with Facility Coordinator.
• Recruits, trains and supervises senior volunteers.
