Job summary

The City of Shoreview's Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a part-time Recreation Program Coordinator to lead youth, teen, and adaptive-inclusive programs. You will guide program development, support staff, and help families access inclusive recreation opportunities.

Responsibilities include supervising Associate staff, coordinating budgets, writing promotional materials, and delivering high-quality customer service to participants in person, by phone, and via email.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in parks, recreation, leisure studies, or closely related field
• One year experience in general recreation programming
• One year supervisory experience
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle report

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and evaluates youth, teen, and adaptive programming
• Provides guidance and support to staff to address inclusivity needs
• Assists with operational tasks and budgets for adaptive/inclusive programs
• Trains, assigns, and evaluates Associate staff
• Develops new program offerings
• Provides high-quality customer service via phone, email, and in person
