Job summary

Lutheran Social Service MN is seeking a Senior Companion Program Manager to oversee volunteer and client assignments in the assigned geographic area. You will publicize the program, recruit and train volunteers, and place volunteers and clients with partner agencies, ensuring compliance and strong relationships with partner sites and stakeholders.

You will also directly manage clients and volunteer/client matches where no partner agency is available, requiring independent work, broad community

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in the human services field or five years of equivalent experience.
Experience with older adults or volunteers preferred.
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Strong analytical and reasoning skills to interpret program policies.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to interact with diverse populations.
Travel 50% to 70% of time for meetings with volunteers, clients, and partners.
