Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is seeking a part-time Meals Helper to serve community dining from bulk to seniors, deliver home-delivered meals, and package meals for delivery. You will be the first point of contact for customer relations and help create a supportive atmosphere in the community.

Driving is required and mileage reimbursement is available. This role emphasizes building relationships with volunteers and community partners to expand service and ensure timely, nutritious meals

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of leadership experience with older adults in a host/hostess role or comparable food service

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily meal service operations and timely delivery to homebound seniors
• Manage volunteer scheduling, training, and retention
• Maintain client and volunteer records per regulatory requirements
• Engage with diners and volunteers to promote a welcoming atmosphere
