Job summary

State of Florida, Department of Health, Division of Medical Quality Assurance, Bureau of Health Care Practitioner Regulation, Board of Nursing, seeks a PROGRAM OPERATIONS ADMINISTRATOR-SES to supervise staff, plan workflows, and direct licensure activities. The role reports to an exempt Board Executive Director and focuses on initial licensure processes for health care professionals.

The position requires ensuring training, timekeeping, and performance reviews while maintaining confidentiality

Qualifications

• Ability to compile, organize and analyze data.
• Ability to investigate, analyze, and resolve complaints.
• Ability to understand and apply Florida Statutes, rules, policies and procedures for licensing and regulation of professionals and consumer protection.
• Ability to provide consultative assistance to others.
• Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff including appraisals, planning and directing their work, and approving leave.
• Directs workloads, deadlines, and work objectives to ensure timely licensure decisions.
• Maintains training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Manages supervisors and direct reports, including meeting performance reviews.
• Ensures accuracy and timeliness of application and licensure data in LEIDS.
• Represents the Board in meetings and prepares minutes and reports.
