Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Senior Program Manager to oversee the execution of complex programs, including cost, schedule, and technical performance.

You will act as the central point of contact for program activities with internal and external customers, mentoring other PMs and ensuring program success. Responsibilities include leading program planning, cost estimation, IMS development, and ensuring contractual deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering or equivalent
• 12–15 years of experience in Program Management
• Experience leading teams on advanced technical development programs
• Experience managing CRAD development programs under OTA or FAR15 desirable
• Proven track record of leading multiple concurrent programs
• Knowledge of PM methods, tools and processes
• Interface effectively with internal teams, government and commercial customers
• Knowledge of export licenses for military products to foreign countries
• Proficient with MS Office (MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong communication skills to articulate vision/mission to the team

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership in development of program planning, requirements, cost/schedule/scope estimation for complex programs
• Lead bottom-up cost/schedule/scope estimation, resource planning and IMS development
• Accountable for contractual deliverables within funded level and period of performance
• Manage program performance metrics and execution profit margin
• Ensure customer alignment and satisfaction across internal and external stakeholders
• Define and manage program controls and success criteria
• Identify, analyze and manage program-level risk
• Publish data to support product development and customer relations
• Establish and manage program priorities and master schedule
• Lead program meetings and reviews with customer and executives
• Develop program plans including budget, EAC, resourcing and communications
• Lead and support creation/maintenance of product requirements
• Manage scope changes and advise leadership on impacts
• Support Business Development in bidding and capturing opportunities
• Oversee preparation of cost and technical proposals
• Ensure execution adheres to company policies and processes
• Lead PMs to produce program reports
• Perform other duties as assigned
