Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. seeks an experienced Program Manager to oversee the execution of complex programs, including cost, schedule, and scope. You will mentor other PMs, act as the single point of contact for internal and external customers, and lead program reviews with senior staff.

The role requires a strong background in program management, leadership, and risk management, with up to 20% travel. ITAR/EAR considerations apply, and U.S. citizenship or equivalent status is necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering required or equivalent mix of education, training, and experience.
• Minimum 12–15 years of program management experience.
• Experience leading teams on advanced technical development programs and/or systems-of-systems programs.
• Proven track record of leading multiple, concurrent programs and managing firm fixed price contracts.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership in development of program plans, top-down requirements, and cost/schedule/scope estimates for complex programs.
• Lead bottom-up estimation, resource planning, and IMS development with functional leads.
• Ensure customer alignment and manage overall customer satisfaction.
• Define and manage program controls and success criteria.
• Identify, analyze, and manage program-level risks and mitigations.
• Lead program reviews and meetings with customers and executives; develop program plans including budget and EAC.
