Job summary

Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. in the United States seeks a Pipeline Safety Management System (PSMS) lead for gas operations. You will drive the implementation of API RP 1173, engage with industry associations, and coordinate with leadership teams to elevate safety programs.

The role requires cross-functional collaboration, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex compliance efforts across gas utilities. A bachelor’s degree and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead cross-functional working groups and drive implementations across gas operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with transmission integrity requirements, including HCAs/MCAs, threats, assessments, and audits.
• Support the distribution integrity program and ensure compliance with plans and documents.
• Provide technical support for gas pipeline materials, specs, and tools; develop MOC documentation and deliver training.
• Coordinate with PSMS Steering Committee and Gas Technical Governance Team to implement API RP 1173 across gas operations.
