Job summary

Draper is a leading nonprofit R&D organization based in Cambridge, MA. We seek a senior Program Manager to oversee medium to large projects through full lifecycle, aligning cost, schedule, and technical performance with customer expectations in defense and government programs.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage risks, coordinate with Supply Chain, negotiate with customers, and drive continuous improvement. A DoD/IC background and ability to obtain a security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 7 years of project/program management experience in commercial or defense industry.
• Bachelor's degree (engineering, CS, business, or related technical field).
• Experience with DoW/IC customers, government programs, and contracting.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex programs.

Responsibilities

• Own overall program execution to meet cost, schedule, and technical targets.
• Establish baselines for performance measurement and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with functional teams to recruit, retain and develop talent.
• Manage all phases from inception to completion, including customer interfaces.
• Lead reviews with customers and oversee supplier performance with Supply Chain.
• Identify risks and opportunities and implement corrective actions.
• Develop strong customer partnerships and pursue new business.
