Job summary

Nava Public Benefit Corp. seeks an experienced Program Manager to lead delivery and client engagement for strategic government contracts.

You will guide delivery teams, manage client relationships across federal, state, and local partners, and ensure alignment with Nava's public-good mission. The role requires 10+ years of program leadership, deep government procurement knowledge, and a track record of scaling agile programs while upholding Nava's policies and collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with Custom Software or Cloud infrastructure programs/projects.
• Must work east coast hours and travel to Richmond, VA by direct flight, short connecting flight OR train/car.
• Experience working with or for state government agencies, with solid understanding of government contracting, compliance, and audit trails.
• Experience with leading and growing agile development teams and the challenges of managing a project at scale.
• Experience using agile frameworks like scrum, kanban, or SAFe and familiarity with CI/CD practices.
• You are an empathetic communicator and relationship builder – you take a service-oriented approach to supporting the program team and our clients.
• Adaptable problem solving across many organizations, processes, cultures, and technologies.
• Highly organized and care about building a sustainable, culture-conscious business.
• Strategic approach to delivery planning and contract management over the medium-term and long-term.
• Iterative execution with rapid team progress.
• Ability to maintain broader situational awareness beyond the immediate team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Exceed the expectations of our government partners by cultivating strong, trusting relationships and maintaining high situational awareness at the agency level.
• Proactively detect risks and work with the delivery team to resolve them.
• Engage clients to understand their vision and communicate progress transparently.
• Manage contracts and finances within your portfolio and coordinate contract modifications.
• Scale efforts through a team of project managers and other delivery leads.
• Apply Nava's policies and guidance at the program level.
• Partner to develop and deliver company objectives and key results.
