Job summary

Consumers Energy is seeking a Senior Program Engineer in Michigan for a hybrid role combining virtual and onsite work. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 4+ years in a program engineering capacity, with a PE license as an alternative path.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited engineering degree with four+ years in a program engineer role.
Alternative: non-ABET degree with Professional Engineering license and four+ years in a program engineer role.

Responsibilities

Support Agile project delivery while balancing team performance with deadlines.
Develop specifications for required project equipment.
Monitor compliance with applicable codes, standards, QA/QC policies, and performance requirements.
Review engineering deliverables and initiate corrective actions.
Provide technical assistance and support to project managers and stakeholders.
Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects.
Assign responsibilities and mentor project team members.
Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders and develop a deep understanding of their objectives.
