Job summary

Consumers Energy, Michigan's largest energy provider, seeks a Senior EPC Project Manager for hybrid work with on-site days at Ludington Pump Storage in Ludington, MI. You will lead complex utility projects, manage budgets, schedules, and risk, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across teams and contractors.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering or related field with 4+ years of project management experience, plus PMP certification within two years of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Applied Engineering or relevant field with 4 years of related experience.
• Alternate pathways include 2-year degree with 6+ years experience or a high school diploma with 8+ years experience.
• Significant project management experience following PLP framework to improve predictability and manage risk.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal and external project teams from planning through commissioning.
• Develop and manage project execution plans including procurement, scheduling, and budgets.
• Integrate safety, environmental standards and regulatory requirements into projects.
• Communicate with leadership and external stakeholders; present status and risk mitigation.
• Identify risks, develop contingency plans, and optimize resource allocation.
• Provide guidance to junior EPC project managers on governance and PM principles.
