Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Program Cost Control Analyst – Level 4 to support budgets, schedules, and cost forecasting for SATCOM contracts. The role is 100% onsite in Dulles, VA or Redondo Beach, CA, and partners with Program Management and Business Management to ensure accurate forecasts and defensible estimates.

Responsibilities include cost control, audits support, EVM tasks, and building cost models for programs and proposals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration with 8+ years of experience; or Master’s with 6+ years; PhD with 4+ years.
Experience with financial analysis or reporting and MS Office suite.
Preferred: Defense industry experience and Earned Value Management knowledge.

Responsibilities

Set up cost control system, monitor and control costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system.
Support audits and reviews requested by programs, customers, and management; provide fact-finding and negotiation support.
Perform analysis and prepare reports to ensure contracts stay within negotiated parameters and government cost control guidelines.
Perform Earned Value Management (EVM) tasks including WBS development, budget baseline, and progress reporting.
Build and maintain cost models for programs, proposals, and internal business cases (labor, materials, ODC, overhead, fees).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve estimating accuracy and cost modeling methodologies.
