Job summary

The University of Miami is seeking a Senior Program Coordinator for the Office of Graduate Studies in Coral Gables, FL. This full-time role provides administrative and operational coordination across graduate programs, supervising applications and admissions, and supporting recruitment efforts.

The position reports to the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and collaborates with faculty and external partners to ensure smooth operations and responsive student services throughout the program

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma accepted with relevant experience.
• Minimum of three years of related experience in higher education program administration or student services.
• Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to advise students professionally.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple programs, deadlines, and stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of FERPA and a commitment to confidential handling of student records.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with marketing/graphic design is a plus.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and to enter/verify information accurately.
• Adaptable and able to manage multiple concurrent projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate graduate program administration across the full student lifecycle.
• Assist in development and implementation of recruitment processes and yield strategies.
• Manage application processes, maintain applicant files, and update collaboration tools.
• Support international admissions with GPA equivalents and visa processing.
• Prepare reports summarizing financial and statistical information for the unit.
• Plan and execute student orientation and recruitment events, both remote and on-location.
• Maintain calendars, prepare budgets, and provide clerical support as needed.
• Foster collaboration between schools and units and perform special assignments.
