Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Program Controls Manager to lead controls for medium-sized programs and coordinate across multiple projects within our Arlington-based teams. You will work closely with program managers to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, and budget objectives.

The ideal candidate has a BA/BS in PM, Engineering, or Business with 8+ years of experience (12+ preferred), experience with large infrastructure projects, and proficiency in PowerBI for program reporting.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Project Management, Engineering, or Business plus 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Masters degree in Project Management, Engineering, or Business.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Experience with large transportation, water, and aviation infrastructure.
• Experience in integration of controls - scope, cost, schedule, risk reporting.
• Experience in PowerBI report tailoring for program specific needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee program controls-related activities for medium-sized programs or specialized defined controls elements of larger programs, providing critical support to the Program Manager.
• Spearhead coordination across multiple projects within the program, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
• Identify interdependencies between projects, proactively mitigating risks and resolving conflicts.
• Engage with project managers to ensure optimal resource allocation and utilization.
• Maintain close working relationships with senior leadership to define program-level objectives with precision.
• Provide authoritative guidance and oversight to project controls teams for effective management.
• Monitor and evaluate risk mitigation strategies and implement adjustments as needed.
• Facilitate clear communication between project teams and stakeholders to maintain cohesion.
• Deliver regular updates to senior leadership on progress, challenges, and achievements.
