Job summary

Markel is seeking a claims professional in the United States to resolve moderate to high complexity program account claims. The role evaluates coverage, liability, and exposure, and communicates developments to internal and external stakeholders.

You will participate in mediation or litigation as needed, travel to mediations or trials, and provide training to team members while maintaining service levels and efficient claims resolution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum 5 years of claims handling experience or equivalent.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes coverage and communicates coverage positions.
• Conducts investigations into loss facts and extent of damages.
• Negotiates and settles claims typically in litigation.
• Provides timely service and adheres to SLAs across the claim life cycle.
