Job summary

Qualifications

• College degree and/or professional designation required, JD preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Sound understanding of insurance coverage posed by professional liability policies.
• Ability to manage a caseload and work independently.
• Travel required approximately 10%.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, negotiate and settle complex professional liability claims for lawyers, accountants and financial advisors insureds.
• Analyze coverage under professional liability policies; draft routine and complex coverage correspondence and communicate positions.
• Manage nationwide litigation; appoint and manage defense counsels; seek expeditious and economical resolutions.
• Communicate with underwriting and Claims Manager on developments affecting product lines.
• Collaborate in a team environment and contribute to initiatives and training.
