Job summary
UFG Insurance is seeking a Sr. Production Underwriter - Construction to join our Mountain Region, handling middle market construction opportunities.
The ideal candidate will reside in Idaho and work remotely, underwriting and managing accounts while partnering with agencies to drive profitable growth. You will mentor teammates, support underwriting strategy, and collaborate with various internal partners to resolve escalated issues and deliver strong results in a dynamic, remote-friendly
Qualifications
- 5+ years commercial lines underwriting experience
- Strong leadership and mentoring ability
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Underwrite complex new and renewal business with effective risk selection and pricing
- Manage portfolio to achieve profit and premium goals for the unit
- Mentor and coach team members on underwriting practices
- Develop and maintain relationships with agencies and producers
- Collaborate with internal partners to ensure optimal stakeholder management
