Job summary

Johnson Controls in Lubbock, TX seeks a hands-on Senior Production Supervisor to lead a dedicated team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will drive daily production goals, uphold safety, quality, and operational excellence, and partner with engineering to implement improvements.

The role requires a degree or equivalent experience, strong MS Office skills, and Lean/Six Sigma knowledge to optimize processes and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher with relevant manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience as a production supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
• Proficiency with MS Office and data tracking.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of a work team to meet daily production schedules in assembly/fabrication of sub-assemblies, parts, or units.
• Control costs within budget by minimizing scrap and rework.
• Anticipate production problems, material shortages, and equipment malfunctions, and react quickly.
• Provide technical assistance for equipment and expedite repairs.
• Collaborate with engineering to implement cost-reduction and labor-planning improvements.
• Supervise, evaluate and train the workgroup; participate in accident investigations.
• Promote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with policies.
• Maintain accurate production and employee records.
• Apply LEAN tools to measure and improve key business drivers (VSM, SMED, 5S, TPM, Kaizen).
