Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a Scheduler to manage and optimize production schedules for Prepress, Press, and Bindery/Finishing at the St. Charles, IL site. The role entails coordinating with planners and departments to meet customer delivery dates and adjusting plans as needed for equipment availability and raw materials.

The position is onsite with a 2PM second shift, and the candidate must commute to St. Charles.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent with 5 years of relevant administrative/operational support in manufacturing or office environments.
• Advanced knowledge of technology and software, including MS Office or MAC word processing and spreadsheets.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills across departments.
• Strong organizational skills to manage deadlines and workloads.

Responsibilities

• Review daily/weekly production schedules and sequence/load equipment in Prepress, Press, or Bindery/Finishing.
• Optimize workflow by matching equipment capabilities to customer work specifications.
• Ensure prerequisites like preflight files, plating, and materials are in place before running jobs.
• Coordinate with departments to enable jobs to run and report daily/weekly updates.
• Reschedule work as needed for unplanned issues such as equipment failures.
• Provide guidance for other schedulers and plan for multiple departments or equipment groups.
• Provide daily reports to coordinate materials and staffing with forecasted workloads.
