Job summary

RRD in St. Charles, IL is seeking a Scheduler to allocate work across Prepress, Press, and Bindery/Finishing. This fully onsite role requires commuting to the St. Charles facility and involves coordinating daily schedules to meet customer delivery dates with typical 8 AM start times and a 2 PM second shift.

The position emphasizes strong organizational skills, MS Office proficiency, and the ability to adapt to unplanned changes to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent with 5 years of relevant administrative/operational support in manufacturing operations or office environment.
• Advanced knowledge of technology including MS Office or MAC word processing and spreadsheets.
• Excellent oral and written communication across departments.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload.

Responsibilities

• Review daily/weekly production schedules and sequence/load equipment in Prepress, Press, Bindery/Finishing.
• Optimize workflow by matching equipment capabilities to customer work.
• Ensure preflight, plating, materials, and components are in place to begin a job.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure jobs will run and meet delivery dates.
• Provide daily reports/updates to manufacturing operations for staffing and forecast alignment.
• Reschedule work to differentslots/equipment during unplanned events such as delays.
• May guide other schedulers and plan for multiple departments or equipment groups.
• Verify materials, staffing, and logistics are in place in time for production runs.
• Coordinate with vendors/internal resources to ensure on-time delivery for runs.
