Job summary

RR Donnelley schedules and loads work on manufacturing equipment across Prepress, Press, and Bindery/Finishing to meet customer delivery dates. The role reviews daily/weekly forecasts and provides essential production updates to keep operations aligned.

The onsite position in St. Charles, IL requires candidates to support second shift and manage schedules with strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office is important for daily reporting.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent with 5 years of relevant administrative/operational support in manufacturing operations or office environment.
• Advanced knowledge of technology including MS Office or MAC word processing and spreadsheets.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines and manage workload.
• May provide oversight of work and assist in training junior staff.
• Ability to apply policies, procedures, regulations, and program objectives.

Responsibilities

• Review daily/weekly production schedules and sequence/load equipment to run in Prepress, Press, Bindery/Finishing.
• Optimize workflow by aligning equipment capabilities to customer work specifications.
• Ensure preflight files, plating, materials, and components are ready to begin a job.
• Coordinate with departments to enable jobs to run.
• Provide daily production updates to align with forecasted workloads.
• Re-schedule work to different slots/equipment during unplanned issues.
• Provide guidance for other schedulers and plan for multiple departments.
• Provide daily reports to coordinate materials and staffing with forecasted workloads.
• Verify materials, staffing, and logistics are in place for runs.
• Coordinate with vendors/resources to meet scheduled run times.
• Assist with long-term planning and facility work plans.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects.
