Job summary

RRD is seeking a production supervisor for the 2nd shift at our St. Charles, IL facility. You will lead employees, ensure production specifications are met, and maintain safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, training, and continuous improvement. Strong communication and organizational skills are required to manage schedules, daily tasks, and cross-department coordination.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing/operations environment.
• Proficient knowledge of technology including computers and MS Office suite.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills across departments.
• Strong organizational skills with deadline management.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25–50 pounds; occasional over 50 pounds.
• Able to perform basic arithmetic and work with rates/percentages.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and guidance to employees and audit work processes and products to confirm production specifications are met.
• Maintain positive relationships with employees and direct them to the appropriate manager.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, policies and procedures.
• Inspect products and shipments to verify conformance to specifications.
• Review and approve machine setups, production samples, and shipments as necessary.
• Identify opportunities for continual improvement.
• Attend production meetings and coordinate with other departments to coordinate production activities.
• Coordinate or perform training for new employees, contract workers, and guests to ensure safety and quality requirements.
• Ensure the Quality Policy and Objectives are understood and achieved.
• May provide oversight of junior staff and review/audit work for accuracy.
• May update and maintain shift schedules in the time/attendance system and enter attendance transactions.
• Share expertise and help train other employees as assigned.
• Carry out other responsibilities as delegated by management.
