Job summary

Ultium Cells LLC in Spring Hill, TN is seeking a manufacturing team lead to drive continuous improvement and supervise complex mechanical assembly in a highly automated environment. The role requires coordinating cross‑functional activities and ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on the line.

You will analyze production results, train staff, and support on‑call needs while collaborating with engineers and operators to meet aggressive production goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in complex mechanical assembly and manufacturing equipment
• 1–3 years industrial or manufacturing leadership/supervision preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or 1–2 years related experience
• Strong understanding of quality processes and implementation methods
• Knowledge of electricity, raw materials, automated equipment, and manufacturing efficiency
• Experience in lithium-ion battery manufacturing preferred
• Minimum 3 years of industrial experience with supervisory responsibilities
• Effective oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with plant safety and environmental regulations
• Coordinate activities of employees engaged in production
• Read and analyze production records to determine requirements and evaluate outputs
• Collaborate with leaders to coordinate operations within or between departments
• Plan work schedules to meet production goals
• Inspect materials, products or equipment for defects
• Train team on equipment operations, safety and quality expectations
• Support team-based problem solving
• Monitor production indicators to ensure standards
• Confer with leadership to resolve workforce concerns and engagement
• Interpret drawings and job orders for workers
• Perform additional duties as assigned
