Job summary

Ultium Cells LLC is seeking an experienced Facilities Engineering Manager in Spring Hill, TN. You will oversee a large team of engineers and technicians, directing planning, procurement, fabrication, installation, and upkeep of tooling in a high-technology battery cell plant.

You will lead safety initiatives, talent development, cross-functional collaboration, and budget/contract management to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or diploma required.
• Experience leading large engineering teams and projects.
• Strong knowledge of safety and compliance practices.

Responsibilities

• Foster a proactive safety culture across the team.
• Lead talent development, recruiting, mentorship, and career progression.
• Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Engineering, Facilities, Finance for plant goals.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external customers to deliver solutions.
• Manage budgets and contracts; oversee contractors and safety compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Coordinate root cause analysis and downtime repair planning.
• Support training and evaluations of staff.
