Job summary

Ultium Cells, LLC is seeking an experienced engineer/team lead for a high-automation lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility in Spring Hill, TN. You will drive continuous improvement, troubleshoot equipment and processes, and ensure high yield in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 3-5 years in mechanical assembly with leadership experience, a strong quality mindset, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. On-site position with competitive total rewards and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in complex mechanical assembly, tooling and manufacturing equipment.
• 1-3 years industrial or manufacturing leadership - supervision experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• Strong understanding of quality processes and implementation methods.
• Experience with electrical systems, automated equipment, and manufacturing efficiency; lithium-ion battery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance for plant safety and environmental regulations.
• Support and coordinate activities of employees engaged in production.
• Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules and other records.
• Collaborate with leaders to coordinate operations across departments.
• Plan and establish work schedules to meet production goals.
• Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Train team through equipment operation, safety procedures and quality expectations.
• Facilitate team-based problem solving.
• Monitor performance indicators to ensure production standards.
• Resolve workforce concerns and enhance employee engagement.
• Interpret specifications and diagrams for workers.
• Additional duties as assigned.
