Job summary

Ultium Cells LLC is seeking an experienced manufacturing engineer to join a high‑tech, automated lithium‑ion battery cell production environment in Warren, OH. You will lead continuous improvement, troubleshoot equipment, analyze production data, and collaborate across departments to optimize yield and productivity.

Responsibilities include coaching teams, ensuring safety and quality compliance, interpreting drawings and orders, and coordinating schedules to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in complex mechanical assembly/manufacturing equipment
• 1-3 years industrial/manufacturing leadership or supervision experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related experience
• Strong understanding of quality processes and implementation methods
• Knowledge of electricity, electrical products, raw materials, automated equipment, and manufacturing efficiency improvements
• 3+ years of industrial experience with supervisory responsibilities
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance for plant safety and environmental regulations
• Support and coordinate activities of production employees
• Read and analyze charts, schedules, and reports to determine production requirements
• Collaborate with leaders to coordinate operations across departments
• Plan work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet goals
• Train team to inspect materials, products, or equipment and to uphold safety/quality standards
• Support team problem-solving and on-going improvements
• Monitor key performance indicators and equipment performance to ensure standards are met
• Engage leadership and teams to address workforce concerns and engagement
• Interpret specifications, drawings, job orders, and company policies for workers
