Job summary

RTX in Tucson seeks a Production Electrical Team Lead to manage an Electrical Team on a production program, coordinating with cross-functional groups to drive design reviews, testing, and issue resolution. The role entails mentoring engineers, supporting schedule risk, and ensuring rigorous technical execution.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related STEM field with 5+ years’ experience, onsite work, and travel under 25%.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree and a minimum of 5 years’ prior relevant experience
• RF, analog, digital, and or mixed signal circuit design or analysis and or digital signal processing, debugging, failure investigations. Knowledge of FPGA integration and implementation preferred
• Production engineering experience involving design, analysis, fabrication, or troubleshooting of missile hardware, including systematic problem solving, failure investigations or Root Cause and Corrective Action
• Professional written and verbal communication skills creating and presenting technical content to cross-functional peers, leaders, suppliers and customers

Responsibilities

• Function as a Production Electrical Team Lead on a Production Program leading the Electrical Team while supporting cross functional teams in a matrixed organization
• Provide technical support of 5-10 engineers, with a focus placed on engineering task execution, technical rigor, mentorship and training, etc.
• Coordinate with Electrical Team Lead for cross-functional prioritization
• Direct involvement with and or support of design reviews, schedule risk, red rack burn down, supplier coordination, documentation, compliance, testing and validation, peer reviews and continuous improvement
• Collaborate and coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration
