Job summary

Goodman Manufacturing in Houston, TX is seeking a Production Engineer 4 to lead continuous improvement of HVAC manufacturing processes, including fabrication and assembly, cost-reduction initiatives, and engineering change processing.

You will mentor junior engineers and operations staff, develop project schedules, and direct cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, on-budget product launches and improvements.

Qualifications

• Extensive understanding of manufacturing engineering theory, processes, and practice.
• Experience with Kaizen, value stream mapping, Kanban, and time studies.
• Ability to guide juniors and lead cross-functional teams.
• Experience with PFMEAs and Process Control Plans.

Responsibilities

• Establish continuous improvement goals and execute action plans.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvements, and workflow optimization.
• Develop and support DOE, 8D, FMEA, Six Sigma and DFM analyses.
• Collaborate with Design Engineers to revise product designs and sustain HVAC products.
