Job summary

Goodman Manufacturing in Houston, TX seeks a Principal Engineer in Hardware Engineering to lead PCB/hardware development for HVAC equipment. You will drive electro-mechanical integration, perform SI/EMI analysis, and lead design reviews with cross-functional teams.

You will mentor junior engineers, ensure manufacturability, and maintain design docs, BOMs, and validation plans throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Master’s degree preferred; PE designation preferred.
• 12–15 years of hardware project experience.
• Experience with PCB design, testing, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead PCB and hardware development across the lifecycle.
• Perform design reviews and resolve issues with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and validate test plans; conduct EMI/EMC tests.
• Manage fabrication and assembly processes; ensure manufacturability.
• Mentor engineers and maintain design documentation.
