Job summary
Comfort Systems USA, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III in Houston to support production by designing and implementing process improvements, with a focus on make-to-order projects and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate has 10+ years in heavy manufacturing, strong Lean/Kaizen experience, CAPEX leadership, ERP expertise, and solid data analysis; SolidWorks/AutoCAD and MS Office are required. Collaborative, detail-oriented and able to lead cross‑functional teams.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in heavy/industrial manufacturing.
- Experience developing fixtures & jigs.
- ERP implementation and budgeting experience.
- Lean initiatives and 5S/Kaizen experience.
- Blueprint reading and P&ID interpretation.
Responsibilities
- Analyze data to identify productivity, safety, quality, and cost improvements.
- Lead Lean initiatives: Standardized Work, VSM, Kaizen/5S.
- Manage CAPEX projects from ROQ through commissioning.
- Collaborate with design for manufacturability and operations.
- Develop cost models and track cost savings against targets.
- Plan facility/work cell layouts to optimize material flow.
