Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Production Scheduler to plan and optimize manufacturing schedules across multiple departments. You will develop workflows that ensure timely delivery to customers and align with sales forecasts while expediting operations as needed.

The role requires strong analytical skills, ERP experience, and the ability to collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams in a fast-paced environment. On-site at our Alabama facility with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in production control, production scheduling, or operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience with production planning tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and make timely decisions in a dynamic setting.
• Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teamwork experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage detailed manufacturing production schedules and workflows to align with customer orders and forecasts.
• Monitor real-time production operations and expedite activities causing delays; adjust and communicate schedule changes.
• Analyze capacity, requisition data, and resources to identify optimal processes and bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure plans are achievable.
• Prepare and distribute production reports, performance metrics, and status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Provide estimating support for production timelines, resource requirements, and capacity planning.
