Job summary

CesiumAstro in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Product Test Engineer to drive test strategy and ensure product reliability for RF/microwave and digital hardware on the production floor. You will lead root-cause analysis, support design-for-test, and collaborate with design engineering to improve yields and throughput.

Qualifications include a BS in EE and 5+ years in production environments; strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or higher.
• Minimum of 5 years in production environments.
• Experience in microwave hardware design, production and test.
• Strong PCB-level debugging, embedded systems, and HW/SW integration.
• Excellent troubleshooting, data analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate across functional teams on the production floor.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support for PCBA and RF/microwave products during production.
• Assist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis of PCBA and RF-related production issues.
• Support hardware/software debugging of digital logic, embedded systems, and mixed-signal interfaces.
• Support LRIP and transition to consistent production.
• Perform engineering work with Test Equipment group to meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with design teams to influence DFM/DFT practices.
• Support process improvement to enhance performance, reduce costs, and increase throughput.
• Provide hands-on engineering guidance in a fast-paced production environment.
• Monitor yields, test margin, and resolution of technical issues on production.
• Investigate complex problems involving design and production of digital, RF, and baseband hardware.
• Assist with problem containment and structured root cause & corrective action investigations.
