Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Senior Electronics Test Engineer to design, analyze, and implement test plans for board-level electronics used in space and aerospace systems. You will collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure reliability in demanding environments.

The role includes developing automated test software in Python (or similar languages), interfacing with flight hardware, and advancing test architecture, with emphasis on RF and digital testing. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or similar from an accredited university.
• At least 5 years in industry or university research designing, analyzing, and implementing electronic products and/or test systems.
• Experience designing and executing test plans for custom board-level electronics.
• Hands-on experience with lab instruments (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF generators, vector analyzers).
• Programming or scripting in Python, LabVIEW, SQL, MATLAB, or Embedded C.

Responsibilities

• Develop test architectures and systems including equipment selection, fixtures, data logging, and interfaces.
• Design and execute tests at prototype, qualification, and acceptance stages.
• Develop test requirements for new products.
• Design tests for standards compliance (e.g., NASA GEVS).
• Plan and execute board-level verification tests (high-speed signals, power, temperature).
• Develop systems for testing complex hardware and software (e.g., phased arrays).
• Advise design engineering on design-for-testability (DFT).
• Evaluate and document test results and present to stakeholders.
• Contribute to in-house tools, scripts, and templates.
