Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Production Test Engineer (PTE) to support the test process across the product lifecycle, validate hardware to data package requirements, troubleshoot test failures, and identify efficiency gains.

This onsite role requires a STEM degree with several years of experience, ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance, and relocation eligibility; the company offers relocation support and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
• Experience with electrical/electronic testing.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and provides accurate rework instructions for the product hardware.
• Creation and maintenance of spares and the test equipment obsolescence plan.
• Creation of Basis of Estimates (BOE) to estimate costs to add additional capacity, new capabilities and equipment obsolescence.
• Leads projects to reduce test time, improve the test process through analysis of predictive metrics of trends, failure modes, and test yields.
• Develop test flows and contribute to test capacity analysis.
• Maintain changes to the test equipment technical data package which includes drawings, test instructions, test position manuals, and system software.
• Assist in non-routine fault isolation, diagnosis and repair of the product or test equipment.
• Lead root cause and corrective action investigations and present findings, utilizing fault trees and knowledge point plans.
• Performs risk assessments and supports the programs risk register reviews.
• Leads projects and is responsible for execution.
