Job summary

Raytheon in Tucson, AZ, is seeking Senior Engineers to lead hardware/software integration, verification, flight test and platform integration across defense programs. You will work hands-on with test assets, perform data analysis, and develop plans and procedures for rigorous testing in lab and field environments.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in STEM and 8+ years of relevant experience; DoD Secret clearance is required, with interim eligibility. Travel up to 25% may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in systems integration and test in a lab or field.
• Experience planning or executing Platform Integration or Flight Test Missions.
• Experience collecting and evaluating data to diagnose technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans and verification documents in simulated and real-world environments.
• Build and integrate test assets; certify readiness for next stages.
• Plan and conduct tests across hardware builds, including EMI, Live Battery, RF, electrical, weight, CG, thermal and vibration tests.
• Plan platform integration with customer subsystems/launch platforms in lab or field.
• Plan and execute flight test missions with robust planning, logistics, safety and telemetry monitoring.
• Troubleshoot and analyze hardware, software, and system issues; supporting failure reporting and corrective actions.
• Collect and analyze data; provide detailed reports of results.
• Create/modify documentation for reviews (TRR, CTS, TDR).
• Collaborate across functions and with customers/suppliers.
• Lead a small integration and test team.
• Support travel up to 25% for tests at sites/facilities.
