Job summary

Lam Research in Boise, Idaho seeks a Regional Product Support Engineer to back technical support for field engineers and product teams across the region.

You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical equipment, leveraging data analysis tools and strong domain knowledge. The role requires travel, flexible shifts, and collaboration with customers to meet evolving needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams and operating manuals.
• Use data analysis, word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
• Formulate root cause hypotheses with detailed problem statements and action plans.
• Provide quality remote and on-site escalation support.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to customers and users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated.
• Develop customer confidence through credible recommendations and understanding of the customer’s perspective.
• Participate in Lam’s worldwide technical community and share knowledge.
• Act as a technical mentor for field and account engineers and may design or conduct training sessions.
