Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a Sr. Manager, Business Unit Risk, Product Governance to guide risk assessment and governance across pre-launch to post-launch. You will partner with product, risk, compliance, legal, and governance teams to ensure robust controls and clear decision-making.

You will lead risk identification, develop mitigants, and drive governance forums, with a hybrid office model in select locations. A senior governance role addressing Ultra High Net Worth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years in product governance, risk management, or compliance.
• Experience with enterprise risk frameworks and governance reporting.
• Experience guiding stakeholders through governance or approval processes.
• Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
• Ability to engage senior stakeholders across business, risk, compliance, legal, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate risk assessment processes for product launches and operations.
• Guide teams on risk identification, approvals, and governance considerations.
• Develop mitigants and metrics for evolving product risks.
• Evaluate impacts to risk programs with cross-functional partners.
• Maintain roadmaps and timelines for approvals and governance forums.
• Prepare clear, decision-ready governance materials.
• Serve as subject matter expert on the product review process.
• Partner with business leaders to support governance initiatives.
• Support product review reporting and governance updates for leadership.
• Improve operational efficiency and product review experience.
• Design practical resources for Wealth Advisory Services.
• Execute risk or regulatory projects with internal stakeholders.
