Job summary

Charles Schwab Corporation is seeking a BU Risk Senior Manager in Westlake, TX to lead risk initiatives across Workplace Services. The role focuses on implementing risk programs, managing escalations, and partnering with executives to strengthen internal controls and service quality.

You will drive governance efforts, coordinate with business partners, and present updates to leadership while guiding projects through complex lifecycles with a proactive, detail‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the Workplace Services business or in a risk management role.
• Ability to work independently and proactively, with minimum guidance.
• Strong project management skills, including prioritizing multiple projects based on risk/business needs.
• Experience presenting and communicating to Executive Management.
• Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical resources.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with urgency and proactivity.
• Solid business acumen and judgement to evaluate high complexity issues.

Responsibilities

• Leading risk management projects, including Retrospective Reviews, Remediations, and governance program implementation.
• Overseeing escalations, including Risk Events, from the business and assessing BU Risk response.
• Leading or supporting risk governance programs which support Workplace Services.
• Coordinating efforts with key business partners in the management of WS BU Risk initiatives.
• Providing project updates and status to key stakeholders at the appropriate level of detail to enable action to be taken on issues.
• Providing consultation, facilitation, and analytical support to ensure internal controls are properly implemented to provide flawless participant and client service and compliance with regulatory obligations.
• Collaborating with executives and management to create, sustain, and strengthen the internal control framework through risk identification and control design and implementation.
