Job summary

SAE ITC/PRI, SAE International, and related groups seek a Senior Product Manager to lead the mobility industry learning portfolio—training courses, curricula, and services. Partner with sales and marketing to shape messaging, positioning, and sales enablement across the portfolio.

The role emphasizes market research, financial modeling, lifecycle management, and customer advocacy, with mentoring responsibilities and cross-functional collaboration. Fully remote US-based with travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, media, STEM or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in product management and development or related role.
  • P&L responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience with new product development processes and life cycle maintenance.
  • Understanding of talent and/or workforce development landscape and/or curriculum development.
  • Expertise using quantitative and qualitative data to lead product management activities.
  • Experience collecting voice of customer inputs and developing relationships with industry stakeholders.
  • Certification in Product Management required within 6 months, if absent.

Responsibilities

  • Identify industry skills gaps, certification needs, and related problems; develop business cases and financial analyses; drive road map prioritization.
  • Guide tradeoffs across cost, schedule, and user experience throughout the product life cycle.
  • Provide product leadership from introduction through obsolescence; evaluate new technologies and recommend actions.
  • Develop product positioning and messaging; communicate with sales and marketing.
  • Drive efficacy research and share insights to influence future direction.
  • Create and deliver presentations and facilitate discussions for diverse audiences.
  • Review product usage data and maintain dialogue with customers and sales on trends and opportunities.
  • Mentor other product managers and elevate strategic focus.
  • Contribute to SAE's organizational goals; take on additional projects as assigned.
