Job summary

Employment Hero is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Canadian Payroll to shape the vision, strategy, and roadmap while ensuring regulatory compliance across federal, provincial, and territorial requirements. The role collaborates with Engineering, Design, Support, Compliance, and Commercial teams to drive outcome-focused delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management and strategy experience in B2B SaaS or comparable software environments.
• Strong hands-on Canadian payroll expertise incl. CPP/QPP, EI, QPIP, income tax withholding, remittances, T4/T4A, Relevé 1, ROEs, and provincial/Quebec employment standards.
• Proven commercial acumen modeling business drivers, prioritizing high-impact initiatives, and drafting clear, outcome-oriented technical specifications.
• Robust analytical and problem-solving capability, with data-driven discovery approach.
• Exceptional cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management, with executive-level presentations and adherence to deadlines.
• Experience with HRIS/payroll integrations, or recognized payroll credentials (e.g., PCP) is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Expand core Canadian payroll feature set and drive expansion into new verticals and markets.
• Migrate customers from legacy payroll to the new Canadian payroll product.
• Deliver a quarterly roadmap aligned with compliance, platform stability and business goals.
• Coach product owners in discovery, backlog quality, acceptance criteria and post-launch evaluation.
• Translate payroll regulations into precise product specs and meet all compliance deadlines.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Support, Compliance, and Commercial teams to drive delivery.
• Lead Go-to-Market with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success and drive customer adoption.
• Use qualitative and quantitative insights to inform decisions for executives.
