Jobgether is listing a Senior Product Manager, Authorization Optimization based in the United States for a partner company. The role focuses on strategic product leadership at the intersection of payments, fraud prevention, and digital commerce, driving improvements in authorization performance and partnerships across the payments ecosystem.

You will own the product area end-to-end, shape the roadmap, write specs, and collaborate with engineering, data science, and commercial teams to turn

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience with end-to-end delivery.
• Hands-on payments product experience with issuer authorization behavior.
• Knowledge of decline recovery, intelligent retries, 3DS, and PSD2/SCA incl PSD3/PSR.
• Experience writing technical specifications and defining APIs/data models with engineering teams.
• Familiarity with backend systems or high-volume transaction processing environments.
• Strong analytical skills with transaction-level data and measurable impact.
• Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct reporting lines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own the authorization optimization roadmap from strategy through delivery and communicate decisions to leadership and teams.
• Determine best approach to improving authorization performance, including internal build vs partnerships.
• Create detailed technical specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria, prioritizing the backlog.
• Define APIs, data models, and integration interfaces enabling data flow between merchants, PSPs, issuers, and platform.
• Identify and develop strategic partnerships with PSPs, gateways, acquirers, issuers, and data providers.
• Build issuer and BIN-level intelligence to understand performance and decline patterns.
• Develop a quantified opportunity map to identify recoverable revenue and prioritize initiatives.
• Drive issuer-specific decisioning strategies across 3D Secure, decline recovery, and retries.
