Job summary

Signifyd is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the authorization optimization product area, focusing on improving legitimate transaction approvals. You will set strategy, prioritize high-value opportunities, and drive delivery across capability teams.

This is a hands-on, technical product role collaborating with engineering and data science. You will translate strategy into precise requirements, define APIs and data interfaces, and work with merchants, PSPs, issuers, and our platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a product management role with roadmaps and end-to-end delivery.
• Hands-on payments product experience, including issuer authorization behavior, decline recovery, retries, 3DS, PSD2/SCA.
• Experience writing technical specs and defining APIs or data interfaces with engineering.
• Strong analytical skills using transaction-level data and defining success metrics.
• Experience working with data science/analytics teams to translate insights into requirements.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority.
• Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own the authorization optimization roadmap end to end and communicate plan to leadership, engineering, and GTM teams.
• Determine whether Signifyd should build, partner, or influence issuers directly based on behavior and regional dynamics.
• Write detailed technical specs, acceptance criteria, and manage the backlog with engineering.
• Define APIs and data models for authorization and decline data flows between merchants, PSPs, issuers, and our platform.
• Identify and develop partnerships with PSPs, gateways, acquirers, issuers and data providers.
• Build issuer/BIN intelligence on authorization performance and recovered revenue; maintain opportunity maps.
• Drive issuer-specific decisioning across step-ups, 3DS, decline recovery, and intelligent retries.
• Collaborate with data science to define risk-aware decisioning requirements.
• Demonstrate measurable uplift and merchant-revenue impact with proofs of value and reporting.
• Partner with sales, solutions, and customer success to incorporate merchant feedback into the roadmap.
• Stay current on card network rules, regulation, and industry practice to sharpen requirements.
