Job summary

Pearson is seeking a senior product manager/strategist to lead content standards, taxonomy and metadata design, while guiding content teams through production transformation. You will collaborate with editorial, engineering, and design to ensure high-quality, scalable content workflows and AI-enhanced processes.

The role emphasizes hands-on ownership, cross-functional leadership, and measurable improvements in content quality and efficiency, with a strong focus on education and regulated content

Qualifications

• Seven+ years in product management with focus on content, publishing, or content platforms.
• Hands-on ownership of content standards: taxonomy, metadata, quality frameworks, and measurable outcomes.
• Experience with authoring, production, and delivery platforms (CMS, DAM, LCMS, XML-based systems).
• Built and shipped substantive content systems as owning PM, including AI tooling in last 12–18 months.

Responsibilities

• Embed the standards spine in real business unit work with global quality data and metadata accuracy.
• Redesign production workflows to reduce handoffs and rework.
• Collaborate with content leaders on strategy, planning and craft; lead by doing the work.
• Define plans and content strategy traceable to learner jobs and business outcomes.
