Pearson is seeking a senior product leader to standardize how content is planned, built, and measured. You will sit with content business units, model taxonomies, and rebuild production workflows, aiming to uplift teams and processes.

You will own content standards initiatives, guide AI‑driven content work, and drive measurable quality improvements while partnering with product, engineering, and editorial teams. This remote US role offers impact across Pearson’s content platform and learners.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years in product management within content, publishing, or content platforms with technical depth.
• Hands-on ownership of content standards work: taxonomy and metadata design, quality frameworks, and measurable outcomes.
• Direct experience with authoring, production, and delivery platforms (CMS, DAM, LCMS) with at least one migration or consolidation you led.
• Built and shipped substantive content systems as owning PM, including with current AI tooling.
• Experience in empowered product teams where outcomes are the focus, with value-centric planning processes like roadmaps or QBRs.
• Strong discovery discipline, both generative and evaluative, translating insights into content outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Embed the standards spine inside real-business work with global quality data standards and metadata accuracy targets.
• Redesign and shorten production workflows by removing handoffs and rework.
• Partner with Pearson content leaders to align strategy, planning, and craft, even when faced with resistance.
• Guide teams to high‑quality plans and content strategy tied to learner jobs and business outcomes.
• Design training anchored in real content problems rather than generic curricula.
• Contribute to content job family and community of practice to increase usefulness.
• Build AI fluency across the content talent base and demonstrate practical value of automation.
• Bring evaluation, telemetry, and human-in-the-loop design to AI‑assisted content generation and QA.
